This week, I have learned about two great entrepreneur-Corey
Bell and Catherine Rohr. Corey Bell He is CEO of Trifusion. He had a vision on
what to accomplish but how to get there was his concern. In order for him to
get to the destination he dreamed of, he had to do something different to be
able to reach where he wanted to be. Working for other people was something
that he never liked and he always wanted to be himself-to work for himself rather
than working for others.
He said that the grave yard is the richest place on
earth because people die with dreams and hopes and He does not want to die with
his dreams and hopes like others. He enjoys figuring out challenges. In his
company "can't" is not allowed. Everything is possible if you want
it. He says inspiration through people is important. He wants to pull something
from people. He wants to give back to people and the world. But you can only
give back if you have something to give. At the end of your life, people are
concerned about who you are not necessarily what you did. Live as if without
you there would not be a difference. Everyone should live to impact something
meaningful and great.
Catherine Rohr. She thinks of herself as a great hunter who loves
to chase deals and make great things out of them. She was a Wall Street
investor. In 2004 she started an innovative program to help expose great potentials
in criminals. One day she was having lunch with her friend and she heard about
things for those in prison. She said the idea did not come all at once, but was
a step by step process.
When she began the program there were many people
thought she was crazy and useless-something that would not bring any good
result. She was shut down, faced discouraging situations or circumstances but
she never gave up and finally got full approval from the authorities to carry
on the program. She is a very committed person. She had a great conviction that
what she was doing was right and that was what she was supposed to be doing. People
make mistakes, we all make mistakes but people should be given second chances
which is what America is.
My $100 dollar project is going on fine. I have been able to
enroll some more students and I am optimistic that by the end of the project, I
would have raised $100 or more. The sad thing I experienced this week was one
of my clients withdrawing from class due to some family financial issues. There
is, however, the chance of getting more enrollments. I have created a short
lesson plan to cover for short period. This is because schools are on holiday
and I think it would be a good opportunity for me to get more customers with
such plan.
